This project is developing a freshwater oil in ice guide for U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Federal On-Scene Coordinator Representatives (FOSCRs). The Guide will provide much needed and new information on best practices for responders in the Great Lakes region. DF Dickins is assisting the project team by evaluating recent trends in Great Lakes Ice Conditions, reviewing likely spill sources, and providing guidance on important response topics such as ice bearing capacity, ice profiling and detection/mapping/tracking. Scheduled for completion in 2025.
